The heart of the system, though, is the free MIDI Memo app you can download from the App store. With this simple program, you can easily record and play MIDI data — and it's easy to find and recall all of your previous creations. Want to share something you just came up with? Just use your device's e-mail feature to e-mail the music as a Standard MIDI File (SMF) to yourself or your collaborators. And once you're back to your Mac or PC, you can easily open and edit the file in your favorite DAW.
