Sibelius Groovy Music is a series of three programs which make teaching music to primary children easy and fun.
Supporting the non-specialist teacher in particular, it comes with plenty of clear and well-written supporting materials - and you don't need to be a musician to use it.

Notation viewer
In Groovy’s Create mode, the individual notes of each musical element can be viewed by simply double- clicking the shape. Elements can be viewed and edited using a simple representation of pitch and rhythm, which is particularly useful for non-specialists. Standard notation can also be used. Children are taught how to use notation naturally as they progress through the three programs.
In the third program, Groovy City, children learn more about notation, and complete more complex listening tasks. They are also introduced to question and answer phrases and the blues scale, so that they can begin to build up more sophisticated compositions.
