Like any software sampler, the Miroslav Philharmonik allows you to recreate the sounds of an orchestra or choir without going out and hiring an ensemble. Using a "host" program such as Cubase (SE, SL, or SX) or Sonar (Home Studio, Producer or Studio), you specify the notes and instruments you want, and the software sampler draws on it's 7GB of samples to create a realistic recording of your music.
IK Multimedia's Miroslav is based on their popular SampleTank engine, and the famed Miroslav samples, which have been used in hundreds of movies and productions and have become the tool of choice for many Oscar winning composers.
