So how is the Xboard 61 any different than other 61 key controllers? Like many other controllers, it sports 16 programmable knobs and 16 buttons, along with some editing software to make it easy for you to set up your own templates. To set it apart, E-MU has included a full version of their Proteus X Version 1.5 Desktop Sound Module with over 3GB of sounds, including a custom bank of E-MU's finest performance keyboard sounds, making it an excellent value. To ensure you can get started right away, it also includes Cubase LE and Wavelab Lite for the PC.
Other helpful features include the ability to run off batteries - and the ability to work with four Zones per patch, each with its own key and velocity ranges. It also has some advanced features for studio and live performance such as Latch Mode for triggering drum loops, Snap Shot for instantaneous program changes, making the Xboard 61 an incredible versatile controller.
