All performances were recorded at 10 bpm increments, since drummers play differently at different tempos. This translates into more musical grooves and keeps audio quality from being compromised by extreme processing.

A LOOP LIBRARIAN TO QUICKLY FIND THE BEAT YOU NEED
DrumCore is a powerful loop librarian with an extensive search engine function. You can search content based on drummer, style, feel, tempo, or add your own comments and create your own metadata categories.
Audition content quickly by clicking on icons that represent loops, fills, hits and MIDI files. The "Queue Play" feature lets you audition how content works together (like beats and fills) so you can get a sense of how things work before you export the grooves. Use your computer's built-in audio system or ReWireTM to route audio via your digital audio workstation (DAW) software to mix and add plug-ins and effects. Use DrumCore to manage your own audio (WAV, AIFF, SD2, ACID®, REX2) and MIDI libraries!
AUDIO LOOPS AND MIDI FOR THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
While other drum products make you choose between the speed and realism of loop-based composition or the note-level control offered by MIDI, DrumCore gives you both MIDI and audio grooves. And there are over 700 extra MIDI beats included as a bonus, because you never get enough beats!
Mix and match with MIDI and loops and layer some MIDI hits (like cymbal crashes, for example) on top of loops for accents using DrumCore's MIDI drum instrument. Since the drummers' kits were sampled at the same session as the loops, the sounds of the kits blend well with the tone of the loops. Try using one drummer's MIDI groove on another drummer's drumkit. How about Matt Sorum's rock beat on a hip-hop kit? It's a toybox of creative possibilities.
MIDI DRUMS WITH GREAT ACOUSTIC, ELECTRONIC AND LATIN SOUNDS
A software drum sampler/virtual instrument comes loaded with great-sounding kits recorded with the character of the drummer and their music genre(s). No need to use-up computer resources with plug-ins trying to make a "pristine" drum recording sound "punchy". DrumCore drumkit sounds were recorded with "character in mind" using the finest new and vintage analog gear like Distressors, Pultecs and whatever was needed. Plus many kits feature custom drums and cymbals made especially for the drummers found in DrumCore. Easily mix and match drumkit sounds (like snares, kicks, etc.) between your DrumCore kits. Try mixing Zoro's snappy snare with Sorum's thunderous kick! Each sound has programmable pitch, panning and volume and can be routed to the mixer inputs of your recording software (Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.) to individually mix and process the sounds if you do feel the need to tweak. Unlike a lot of other drum software, you can also create your own original kits using your own samples (in .WAV or .AIFF format).
And, of course, you can use a MIDI controller with your sequencer to create your own beats using these unique kits or grab some sticks and use them for a live performance.
EASY-TO-USE SONGWRITER "GROOVESETS"
All the great features in the world are pretty useless if a program is hard to use. So DrumCore strives to "keep it simple" and arranges content (both audio and MIDI) into "GrooveSets," which always presents you with the best loops, fills and variations that can work together at the current tempo. You can easily see the building blocks available to create a verse, chorus, breakdown or other part of song structure.
To create the GrooveSet, they ask a drummer to perform a "song" at multiple tempos over a range that made sense to them for that particular groove. Then they cut it up into the component parts. As you change tempo in DrumCore, you are presented with the drummer's performances in the GrooveSet that works best within the selected tempo, so grooves always sound natural. They also put in an "override" in case you want to make things sound a bit edgier by playing a loop at an extreme tempo.
DAW INTEGRATION
Using drag-and-drop, you can easily export audio and MIDI to ACID®, DP, Live, Logic, Cubase/Nuendo, Pro Tools, Sonar™, Tracktion and other popular recording software. DrumCore uses ReWire for sending multichannel audio to these applications and for receiving MIDI and tempo information.
