V-Comp – Vintage meets the future  
 
Using a fixed nominal output gain and time constants, the V-Comp recreates the rich lush buss sound of the vintage 2254 hardware compressor. This super-responsive dynamics processor packs a recognizable musical punch heard on countless hit records. Its controlled, gentle compression can really glue a mix together.  
 
Controls:  
- Input - Adjusts input level -24 dB to +18 dB in 0.1 dB increments.  
- Output - Sets the output level, continuously adjustable ±18 dB.  
- Meter switch - Selects mode of meter display: Input; Output or Gain Reduction  
- Meter Display - Displays input, output, or gain reduction levels.  
- Analog Switch - Controls the relative amount of analogue modeling.  
- Settings: Off, 25%, 50%, 100% (full analog modeling)  
- Compress - Turns the compressor on and off.  
- Ratio - Sets the compression ratio of the compressor.  
- Settings: 1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 6:1  
- Release - Sets the release time of the compressor.  
- Settings: 400ms, 800ms, 1.5s, Auto.  
- DeEsser - Turns the compressor into a simple de-esser.  
- Limit - Turns the limiter on and off.  
- Limit Level - Sets the threshold of the limiter.  
- Adjustable from +4 dBu to +12 dBu in 0.5 dB steps.  
- Attack - Adjusts the attack speed of the limiter.  
- Fast = 1 microsecond; Slow = 1 millisecond  
- Release - Adjusts the release time of the limiter.
