First, find the loop or sample library that contains the style of music or instruments you are looking for. Most sample libraries contain samples of one instrument or a variety of similar instruments (e.g. piano, world instruments, pianos & organs, orchestral, etc). Loop libraries can contain loops in a particular style (e.g. house, trance, hip hop, etc.) or with particular instruments (e.g. basses, drums, etc.).Second, make sure that the loop or sample will work with a format supported by your host application – Giga, Halion, AKAI, ACID, Reason, etc. If the library comes in WAV or audio format, you should be able to use them in any sampler.
