WHAT IS USB?  
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a standard interface port on desktop and laptop computers. Nearly all recent Macintosh and Windows computers provide USB ports. USB supports  
connection of up to 127 devices simultaneously, any of which may hot-plugged from the USB bus at any time. What’s more is that everything remains external to the computer, which means no computer disassembly is required.  
 
WHAT IS MIDI?  
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a standard data protocol used between digital musical instruments to communicate with each other. Information such as notes, timbre, volume, expression, etc. are all sent and received between MIDI instruments via MIDI cables. The Uno allows you to connect your MIDI instruments to your computer using a simple USB connector, allowing you to enhance control of your music from your computer, or to use your computer as a tool for musical composition.
