It’s just as easy to use as the hardware drum machines of yesteryear, but with all the flexibility of a software-based virtual instrument. iDrum integrates seamlessly with GarageBand, Logic, Digital Performer and other applications that support AudioUnit plug-ins—or you can run it as a standalone application. Create drum patterns in iDrum right alongside your existing tracks, perfectly in time, all the time. Or use iDrum as the backbeat when you’re laying down new tracks. Use the hundreds of included pre-programmed patterns and rhythms or roll your own.
iDrum features an array of sound-shaping DSP functions like filters, amp envelope, and even crunchy old-school drum machine bit-reduction. You can load any AIFF or WAV sound file up to 2MB in size as a drum sample, making iDrum’s sonic palette limited only by your imagination. iDrum will also export your patterns and songs as AIFF audio, MIDI and GarageBand-compatible AIFF for further editing.

Don't feel like pushing buttons with your mouse? Prefer to bang on things instead? iDrum has you covered. Use Record mode to tap out beats on an attached MIDI keyboard, or even using your computer keyboard.
Samples Reloaded.
If you ever run through all the drum sounds that come with iDrum (and that would take you a long, long time), you can drag any AIFF or WAV file up to 2MB in size into iDrum's channel window.
Pattern-alooza.
Store up to 99 patterns in a single iDrum file, along with all the drum sounds you used to make your beat.
Parts galore.
iDrum comes with dozens of part presets—a unique feature that makes it incredibly easy to create amazingly cool beats by simply mixing and matching parts and samples—even if you've never programmed a beat before. You can even add your own parts to iDrum's part preset library so they’re always accessible.
